Project: ARM (The Global Technology Company) Peterhouse Technology Park. Cambridge
Products: Heavy Range – Modular Frameworks
Services: Air-handling units
Roof build-up: Warm roof design – PIR/PUR insulation with bituminous felt membrane
A £48 million project to expand global technology company ARM’s headquarters site in Cambridge. The expansion is part of a move to more than double ARM’s UK headcount over the next five years, enabling the ARM to increase its headcount in Cambridge to 3,000 people.
The air-handling unit support frames were supplied via R&M Electrical in Hampshire to the building services engineers Integral UK Ltd. There were four large air-handling units to support in total, all circa 6000 kg in weight each. All our frameworks were designed to manage the imposed loads of the AHU sections being supported, to ensure uniform load distribution through the frame feet was achieved.
All frameworks are height adjustable via the M24 adjuster legs to compensate flat roof falls, and crossbars can be rapidly placed onto the frame end bars by merely dropping them on from above, providing a quick assembly. Available from stock on a 2-3 day lead-time. Steelwork is hot dip-galvanized for durability and is manufactured to EN 1090-1:2009+A1:2011, Part 1.
